How to stop your dog from barking at other animals in the park is always a challenge and can be one of the more difficult behaviors to break.
However, if you want to keep your dog going to the park you are going to want to make sure you are able to stop this behavior because if he does not stop this you might not be able to go to the park with him because of complaints.
I know that this is a problem that I encountered and here are some tips that I used to get him to stop barking at other animals in the park.
The first tip that I used to get him to desist in this action was that I would take and walk him on a leash.
That way when he would see another animal in the park that he would normally make a fuss about I would tighten up on his leash so that I would have better control on him and he would know that if he barked I would reprimand him with my voice.
Using my voice worked much better than any other action that I could take because he is the type of breed that loves the positive reinforcement, but if I say anything to him that is negative he gets very upset at himself and just wants to sulk.
The second tip that worked out really well and goes along with the first tip is to use obedience training to your advantage.
That way he will know what your voice means and when you mean business and when you are wanting to play with him.
