A circuit party is usually a big dance party with other events happening in conjunction with it. •Club Skirts Dinah Shore Weekend

Known as the "Lesbian Spring Break," The Dinah, Dinah Shore Weekend is a big blow-out in the desert of Palm Springs. Tens of thousands of lesbians descend on this tiny desert town to drink, dance, drink by the pool, flirt, hook up and watch some pretty amazing entertainment. The dances are in big ballrooms packed with sharply dressed women getting down with some of the best DJs in the country. •Michigan Womyn's Music Festival

For more than 30 years, tens of thousands of lesbians have been gathering in the woods of northern Michigan to create a festival like no other. The Michigan Womyn's Music Festival is unique in that women create the festival from the ground up each year and the only men who are allowed on the land are the ones who come to clean out the porta-potties. •National Women's Music Festival

The National Women's Music Festival has been going on as long as Michigan, but it doesn't get as much recognition or notoriety. It takes place as different college campuses in the Midwest--in Illinois, Wisconsin and Indiana. Lesbians descend on these college towns during summer break and stay in the dorms or sometimes hotels, enjoying music, comedy, entertainment and nightly dances, coffeehouses and author readings.
