How Can I Talk to a Girl That Doesn't Even Notice Me?

25
    • 1). Pick an opportune time to cross paths with the girl so that you can introduce yourself. Try to approach her when she is unoccupied by other things. If you are not an interruption, you'll have a better chance of getting her full attention. For instance, try coming over if she is sitting by herself at lunch or grabbing a book from her locker. Also, only approach her in a well-lit area, preferably with other people around. Walking up to her at night as she heads to her car after a team practice can be unsettling for her.

    • 2). Check your appearance. While you want to remain true to yourself, you also want to make a good impression. Opt for clean, neat clothes for a confident and respectable appearance. Before approaching the girl, prevent any embarrassing situations by looking in a mirror and removing food from your teeth or wiping a runny nose.

    • 3). Approach with confidence. Sneaking up on her might startle her. Rather than timidly wandering over, walk toward her with a warm smile.

    • 4). Set the tone. Again, confidence is the key. While a little shyness might be somewhat endearing, confidence helps draw attention to you and convinces her that you are worth noticing. Give off a pleasant demeanor. Smile warmly and refrain from uptight or negative body language, such as crossing your arms across your chest.

    • 5). Introduce yourself. If possible, reach out your hand for a shake as you tell her your name. In certain situations where your presence seems more unexplained, tell her briefly why you've come over. For example, if she is standing in the hallway before class, tell her that you see her frequently in the hallways and wanted to introduce yourself.

    • 6). Ask questions. Friendly questions about herself, her interests and her family help start a conversation. Still, however, refrain from interrogating her. Offer some information about yourself as well, to keep the conversation equal on both sides.

    • 7). Show your interest in what she is saying. Twiddling your thumbs, yawning or other signs of disinterest are bound to ruin the conversation. Instead, listen intently and respond verbally to show that you are paying attention.

    • 8). Pursue a conversation that she is interested in. If she is on the soccer team, ask about the team's season. Even an interesting topic can become dull if you control the conversation. Instead of blabbing about your favorite band for 10 minutes, invite her to comment on her own favorite music. If you sense that she is uninterested, abandon the topic.
