How Your Inner Wealth Can Catapult Your Small Business and Save Your Marriage
When I was rowing in the Australian Championships I trained 6 days a week.
I ate right, slept right, trained right and did everything right.
Except...
what I didn't know I was doing wrong.
I had a flaw in my rowing style.
Measured in thousandths of a second, I held my ore to stiff at the finish of the stroke and so, I was actually slowing the boat down at the end of every stroke.
I won many races.
So, lets not think I was getting negative feedback or even ignoring coaching feedback.
No, nobody saw this fault, and nothing pointed me to it.
That is, until the final of the race I'd trained for over six years, day and night, put my whole heart and soul into, and blew it.
Now, lets not talk about personal coaching, goal setting, motivation, technology, technique, commitment, ambition.
I had all that.
What we need to talk about is mistakes we don't see ourselves making.
So, lets split the short term, day to day, make or break life strategies out and away from sustainable ones.
Here's what you might like to think about.
What makes your partner happy today, will most likely cause your relationship to fail in the final race.
What makes your business most profitable today will definitely cause it to fail in the long term.
What makes you happy today will absolutely stuff up your health in the future.
What makes the world better today, will be the opposite in 20 years time.
So, that's just a few.
If there's a tiny glitch in your "ROWING" style, a small misinterpretation of what makes for sustainable lifestyles and long term relationships you wont know it until the proverbial hits the fan.
And guess what? The final of the Australian rowing championships and after 6 years of training is not the time to find out you've been perfecting an error.
Inner Wealth measures the sustainability of your day to day process.
There's no reason on earth why the process of management you do on a daily basis should not add up to sustained results, long term satisfaction and long term health.
But it's not as easy as it looks.
60% of all marriages end in divorce.
Not one of them thought that their daily practices had a glitch and 99% of those still don't get it after the divorce.
90% of all business failures happen because the owners thought short term, and blew it.
Better to be safe than sorry.
