The Benefits Of Your Driving Instructor Sitting In On Your Driving Test
As of the 6th April 2010 learner drivers going to driving test will be asked by the driving examiner if they would like their instructor to sit in on the back of their test.
Previously it was down to the candidate to request to the examiner for permission for this to happen.
In 2008 - 2009 only 81,000 driving tests were accompanied by the pupils instructor.
This number is expected to increase as of April.
Reasons for this increase is going to be mainly due to many pupils not knowing that their instructor can sit in, due to shockingly not being informed this is an option to them by the person they have paid good money to, in order to learn, informing them.
So how as a student can your instructor sitting in on your test benefit you? •Your instructor (or the person who taught you to drive) can see first hand any faults that were made.
•A better assements of these faults can be made therefore a stronger remedy can be found.
•An instructor can see whether it is just test nerves or a lack of knowledge that didn't allow you to pass.
•Less candidates will go in for test before reaching the required standard.
•Reassurance for you having someone checking that the test was conducted fairly and equally.
•If the test result is a pass the instructor will still be able to offer advice and points the student can continue to work on post test.
Overall this new incentive will benefit everyone particularly you (the student) and hopefully continue to help raise the driving standard in the UK.
