How to Plan a Fishing Party
- 1). Select a location based on the fishery and the space available. Lakes and ponds with easy access to the shoreline, bench seats and barbecues are ideal for fishing parties. Once the location has been selected, invite several guests and provide them with the date, time and meeting place.
- 2). Post rules for the party guests. All of the guests must have a fishing license, but you can also set a time limit and gear restrictions to make the event challenging.
- 3). Hand out prizes for the largest fish caught and the most fish caught. The prizes can be anything from lures to new fishing rods, depending on your party budget.
- 4). Barbecue hot dogs and hamburgers while the guests are fishing. Also provide condiments, snacks and beverages. If guests plan on keeping the fish, you can grill the fresh meat with seasonings and lemons.
- 5). Make it clear that everyone must clean up after themselves and place trash into cans or bags. It is important to keep the area clean for future fishing parties.
