How to Germinate Bromeliad Seed
- 1). Fill seed trays with seed planting mix and dampen the mix with water.
- 2). Place seeds on top of the seed planting mix and cover them lightly with about 1/4 inch of seed planting mix.
- 3). Place the toothpicks into the seed planting mix so they stand up. Wrap the seed trays in the clear plastic bag and poke a few small holes in the bag to provide aeration. Place the seed trays in indirect light.
- 4). Water the seed trays by submerging the bottom of the trays in water for three to five minutes.
- 5). Remove the plastic bag once the bromeliad sprouts are 3 inches tall. Place the seed tray in partial light.
