How to Build a Thread Holder
- 1). Measure your wooden dowel using your measuring tape into 16 3-inch pieces, and cut them using the saw. Sand the edges to make them smooth.
- 2). Take the wooden block, and sand down the edges. Measure and mark a row of dots 2 inches away from each other, leaving an inch on each side of the board. Do this on the entire block until you have about 16 different dots, spaced 2 inches apart, on the board.
- 3). Take the drill and the bit, and drill the holes you marked on your board. Only drill about 3/4 inch into the board.
- 4). Drop a little bit of wood glue into each hole, and place the dowel pieces into the holes. Let it sit until it dries.
- 5). Spray paint the whole board to add color. Let it dry for a few hours. Once it dries, it will be ready for your spools of thread.
