Creative Invitation Ideas for a Scrapbooking Party Plan

    Scrapbook Letters

    • If you're an avid scrapbooker, chances are you have plenty of card stock and stick-on letters that you use when you're scrapbooking. Use these letters to design a creative invitation for your scrapbooking party. Choose a colorful piece of card stock and fold it in half. On the outside of the card, use your letters to spell out "Scrapbooking Party." Your letters do not all have to be the same style; the more diverse the letters you use, the more of a scrapbooking feel your invitation will have. Inside the invitation, include all of the relevant details about the event, including the time, date, location and RSVP information. If you want guests to bring their own scrapbooking supplies or supplies to share with the group, indicate this at the bottom of the inside of your invitation.

    Photo Collage

    • Create a photo collage on your scrapbook party invitation to mimic common scrapbook design. This invitation idea works particularly well for a small guest list or a scrapbooking group that meets regularly. Choose three to five pictures of friends you plan to invite to the scrapbooking party or photos from past scrapbooking events. Print wallet-sized photos and add them to your invitation in a collage, similar to one you would make for a scrapbook. At the top of the invitation, print a catchphrase like "Good Friends, Good Times, Good Scrapbooking." Then include the party details.

    Personalized Invitation

    • Making your scrapbooking party invitation by hand means that you can customize your invitations for each guest. Include the guest's name on the invitation for a personalized message, and choose decorative items that suit her tastes. A 4-by-6-inch piece of card stock works well for this party invitation; choose card stock in the guest's favorite color. Write the guest's name prominently at the top of the invitation, and decorate it with glitter pens or a few sequins. For example, the invitation can have a decorative "Mary Ann" at the top. On the next line, write "Please join me for a scrapbooking party!" Add decorative element that reflect the guest's interests. For example, if Mary Ann is a fan of butterflies, add a few to the corners of the invitation. Then list the date and location information for the party.
