How to Catch Polish Carp
- 1). Travel to a pond in Poland that is known for having carp. Visit carp ponds in the Lubuskie Lake District and other waters in the surrounding area. Pay any associated fees when checking in at managed carp ponds and obtain specific rules and regulations regarding carp fishing.
- 2). Tie a hair rig leader onto the end of your fishing line. Use a specialized carp hair rig designed to show the bait without the carp sensing the metal hook.
- 3). Place carp dough bait or a carp boilie on the knotted hair line extending below the hook of the hair rig. Make a hole in the bait and slide it onto the hair line. Insert a short piece of grass or fishing line through the loop on the end of the hair line and slide the bait down against the grass or short line.
- 4). Chum the water with bread, grass or crushed fruit. Distribute the chum on the water surface to draw carp close to the bank.
- 5). Cast the baited carp rig into the water when carp move in closely. Place the bait as close to the carp as possible due to their poor eyesight. Set the hook when the carp has taken the bait and turn by raising the rod tip and reeling down on the line.
