Show Hidden Files

• 1). Click on "Start" then select "My Computer."
  
  
• 2). Click on "Tools" in the file menu. Select "Folder Options." The Folder Options window will appear.
  
  
• 3). Click on the "View" tab. Scroll down and locate "Hidden files and folders" in the "Advanced settings" section. Select the option next to "Show hidden files and folders."
  
  
• 4). Remove the checkmarks next to "Hide extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)."
  
  
• 5). Click "OK" to save your settings.
  
  

Locate NTLDR File

• 1). Right-click the "Start" button on your desktop. Select "Explore." Windows Explorer will appear.
  
  
• 2). Click on "My Computer" in the left pane, then click on "Local Disk (C:)" below it.
  
  
• 3). Scroll through the list of files and folders in the root file folder of your hard drive in the right pane and locate "NTLDR."
