The Correct Ways to ReTweet Things in Twitter

11
If you have spent any time in Twitter there is no doubt that you have seen RT many times.
But some may be wondering what this RT means.
What it means is retweet and it is when someone else has posted something on twitter and then another person found it interesting.
There are proper ways to do retweeting and then there are wrong ways to do it.
We intend to explain the differences in this article.
First thing you have to know about twitter and retweeting is that although it seems like a very large community, things get around pretty fast.
There is no way to know who knows who out of the thousands of people that are tweeting and retweeting, so first thing is to make sure that when there is credit to be given, do so by retweeting.
Don't ever try to take an original idea that someone else tweeted and try to pass it off as your own.
This will get you unfollowed for being a fraud and you may have to start over from scratch.
Now with that out of the way, how to do a retweet is actually a pretty simple process.
Whenever you find something of interest in twitter just copy the post and then do RT @ and then the post.
This way you are actually giving credit to the original author.
Now that you know how to retweet others information it is a good idea to see if any of the interesting things that you have tweeted have been retweeted.
How you do this is quite easy.
Just go to the website - retweetrank.
com, enter in your username id and hit go.
You will then be able to see all the stuff that has been retweeted of your information.
A good thing to keep in mind though is that people don't usually retweet posts without links.
So if you want your information to spread around the internet make sure that you include some sort of link.
Other than that you should use the service bitly to track all of your links you post so you know what is bringing in traffic.
You can track individual blog posts or anything that you put on twitter with a link by using bitly and putting a + at the end of the url.
You will be able to see this from your bitly account.
