How to Maintain a Wood Laminate Floor
- 1). Vacuum the floor or use a soft-bristled broom, which will not scratch the surface, to sweep the floor.
- 2). Mop the floor weekly, or more often if necessary in high-traffic areas. Use only laminate floor cleaner and a terrycloth mop. Work in small sections, paying special attention to the corners and baseboards.
- 3). Go over the floor daily with a dry terrycloth dust mop.
- 4). Wipe down baseboards and corners once a month. Even with mopping and dry dust mopping, dirt can build up there.
- 5). Protect your floor from scratches with area rugs and use foam floor protectors under furniture.
