How to Find Out If Someone Filed for Divorce in Citrus County, Florida
- 1). Visit the Citrus County Clerk of the Circuit Court Court Records Search website. A link has been provided in the Resources section.
- 2). Enter your spouse's first and last name in the "First Name" and "Last Name" text boxes in the section labeled "Party."
- 3). Choose "Circuit Civil" from the "Case Type" drop-down menu.
- 4). Choose "Open" from the "Case Status" drop-down menu.
- 5). Click "Search" to search for cases involving parties with names matching your spouse.
- 6). Click the "Down" arrow, located to the right of "File Date," to sort the search results by the most recent file date.
- 7). Click the case number, located to the left of the petitioner's name, that you suspect to be that of your spouse. An example of a case number is "2009 CA 001409."
- 8). Locate the box labeled "Party Information" in the "Case Information" page. Below the petitioner's name is her address at the time of filing.
