Using a crate or kennel during dog training, especially f house training, can make things a lot easier.
The kennel needs to be a place where the dogeels safe so never use it as a punishment.
Also, to start with never force the dog to go inside.
Instead, leave the kennel door open and leave some treats or toys inside so the dog find it on its own.
Then once inside, after a few times try briefly closing the door while the treats are being eaten.
Before long the dog will feel comfortable in the kennel.
So once your dog training kennel is being used by the dog, how should you use it? A kennel is very useful in the following situations:

• Housetraining
• Preventing the dog being destructive when you aren't around
• Alleviating separation anxiety
• Making travelling with the dog easier and safer

If your dog is taught to enjoy being in the kennel then it becomes an incredible training tool.
For example, when house training you can put the puppy in the kennel whenever you can't watch it.
Dogs rarely go to the toilet in their own beds or homes, so they will not want to defecate in the kennel.
If there is a time when the puppy or dog does go to the toilet in its kennel, then this is likely to mean you are making the dog stay for too long inside so it has no choice.
In some cases the dog may whine while inside the kennel.
It is important for dog training kennel that you ignore it, as reacting to the whining or barking only rewards it.
