Getting rid of squirrels is a real problem.

First, from where do you want to get rid of them? Are they in your attic, your yard, your house, or where? Now second, what approach do you want to take.
Do you want to take a natural humane method or not? In many ways, you can get rid of squirrels from just about anywhere simply by taking some precautionary steps in your yard.

Put up a fence around your garden to keep them out.
Also, bury some fence under the ground to keep them from digging up your bulbs.

Trim some of your low hanging branches from trees so the squirrels can't jump from the tree to your house or yard.

Preventing squirrels from getting in your "off limit areas" may involve putting some metal or plastic on the bottoms of trees so they can't climb up the trees.

It may involve cleaning up their food supply, like nuts, acorns, seeds or other tasty food that may be laying around your yard.

It may involve setting a feeding area somewhere far away from things so they have their own area to eat things that they like.

Lastly, it may mean boarding up their entry points to your house or attic (but only do so after they are out) to keep them out.
Bottom line to getting rid of squirrels is to look around and see what steps you can take that might help keep them away.
