How to Make a Wedding Necklace
- 1). Cut three lengths of ribbon. Each one should be 1 inch shorter than the last so the necklace has a tiered effect. Make the ribbon an additional half-inch to accommodate the knots required to complete this project. When trimming the ribbon, make sure one end is trimmed on an angle so it has a very thin point. This will be used to thread the ribbon into the pearls.
- 2). Attach your ribbon to one loop on your triple clasp. Repeat with the other remaining lengths of ribbon, then trim the ends so the knot is very small and has no tail. Make sure the ribbons are arranged from shortest to longest.
- 3). Add the pearls to all three ribbons, making sure to stagger them so the necklace isn’t too uniform. Insert the thin end of the ribbon into the pearl and pull it onto the ribbon. Since the holes are small, the pearls do not need to be tied in place. Continue adding pearls until there are enough for your personal tastes.
- 4). Tie the loose ends of the pearls onto the other half of the triple clasp. Again, pull the knots tight so they are very small and trim the ends so there is no tail. The necklace is now ready.
