How to Tie a Pew Bow
- 1). Cut the stems of your flowers so they are a foot long. Keep in mind that if you want to use real flowers, this will need to be assembled the morning of the wedding.
- 2). Cut the organza ribbon sash so it is 4 1/2 ft. in length.
- 3). Lay the organza on a clean, flat surface. Place the stem of the flowers on the very middle of the organza. Tie the organza into a tight knot on the flower stems, about 1 inch from the bottom of the blooms.
- 4). Tie the organza into a simple bow (see Tips). The loops of the bow should each be about 8 inches long.
- 5). Tie the ribbon into a knot in between the organza and the base of the blooms.
- 6). Tie the tails from the ribbon around the knot of the organza. Then tie the ribbon into a small bow (see Tips). The ribbon will overlap on top of the larger organza bow.
- 7). Slide fishing line through the back knot of the ribbon to attach to the back of chairs, fence posts, gazebo posts, pews etc. For extra support, slide the front of a pew clip through the back of the ribbon, where the ribbon is knotted. The pew clip is then attached the church's pew ends.
