Country Music Single Releases - Week of July 21, 2008
Read Jenn's thoughts on the new singles that are released for the week of July 21, 2008.
This is one of the saddest songs I've heard in a while. An eighteen year old girl was looking forward to a long life ahead with a husband by her side, until she found out he had died while fighting overseas. It's emotional, Carie's vocals are powerful, and it's a must-hear tune. Listen

Another sad song for this week's round of new single releases. With so many upbeat summer topics, maybe it's a wise choice to stand out from the rest with a song like this. Instead of visiting the woman he loves at her gravesite, he wishes they could be out fishing like they used to do. Listen

The quintessential summertime, get together with buddies kind of song. I love the laid-back groove to it. The only sad part about songs like this, is when you listen you're bound to realize summer is almost over and before you know it, we'll all be back to "real life." Listen
What I like most about this song is how the story is told from the perspective of a man who has just caught a glimpse of the woman whose heart he broke. He can tell she's happy now and has moved on from the days he constantly tested her limits. It's good hearing Randy back on the radio. Listen
