How to Make a Fish Spear
- 1). Sharpen one end of the stick with the pocket knife. Remove all the bark and shave off any knots on the end of the stick.
- 2). Stab the knife firmly into the same end of the stick, slowly splitting it in two. Split the stick for six to eight inches.
- 3). Wedge the twig into the split, separating the two prongs of the spear. Do this slowly to avoid breaking the prongs.
- 4). Carve the insides of the prongs. Sharpen them into sharp points.
- 5). Wet the twine. Wind it tightly around the spear where the wedge rests and tie it off.
