After months and months of speculation, Sony Pictures named Daniel Craig as the star of the 21st James Bond movie, "Casino Royale." The handsome Brit takes over the role after the departure of popular Bond star Pierce Brosnan. Though Brosnan had a healthy share of supporters, it was felt "Casino Royale" marked the right time to reinvigorate the franchise with a new guy playing the suave superspy.

Whether fans will go for the more ruggedly handsome Craig is yet to be determined.

Craig can definitely act and he does know his way around action films but selling a new Bond, James Bond, is always a tough proposition. Still, Bond continues to be a money-making franchise so the odds are good "Casino Royale" will sell a mega amount of tickets.
