How to Refill Ink in Canon 30
- 1). Disengage the Canon PG-30 cartridge from your Canon printer and gently place it on top of several layers of newspaper. Be sure that the surface underneath the newspaper is appropriate for the task.
- 2). Locate the Canon PG-30 refill hole. Looking from above the cartridge onto the manufacturer's label, locate the large "B" near the bottom of the label. Look just below the "B" to find the small, dimpled refill hole.
- 3). Drill into the refill hole until the thumb drill breaks through the plastic barrier into the cartridge. Remove the thumb drill from the refill hole.
- 4). Slowly fill your plastic refilling syringe with 20 ml of black refill ink.
- 5). Push the tip of the syringe into the enlarged refill hole and release the ink very slowly into the body of the Canon PG-30.
- 6). Hold the refilled cartridge upright as you insert it back into the Canon printer. Wait eight hours, then run cleaning cycles as you would normally for a new cartridge and resume printing.
