How to Deal With Purple Fringe in Fuji S100 Digital Cameras
- 1). Press the menu button on the rear of the camera and set the dynamic range to 100%. Don't oversaturate the photo processing in camera, make any changes to color in post-production. Oversaturation occurs when the camera is set to record a higher range of color.
- 2). Press the ISO button on the top of the camera and rotate the selection wheel on the top and set the ISO setting to the lowest possible. The camera can be set to a minimum setting of 64ISO. High ISO settings lead to an increase in "Noise" in pictures. ISO is the term used to reference the cameras sensitivity to light. ISO stands for International Standards Organization.
- 3). Press the "Menu" button and select "Set Up." Toggle to the last page and switch "RAW-CCD" to on. Using the camera in RAW mode removes the in-camera processing, and gives you more photo file information you can work with in post-production. Post-production is the general term given to the editing that is performed after the picture has been downloaded to your computer. The RAW recording mode will record the image exactly the way the sensor sees it. There is no processing done in the camera. Some photographers prefer RAW mode as they can make more adjustments to the picture in post-production.
- 4). Save all the settings you just changed to one of the two "Custom" settings. Press the camera's menu button on the back of the camera and toggle through the menu selections by using the directional buttons on the back of the camera, until you get to page 3. Scroll to "Custom Set," turn the exposure mode wheel to C1 or C2, and press the "Set" button on the rear of the camera to lock in your settings.
