Microsoft DVD Maker Problems
- The first thing to check before attempting to burn video to a DVD is the quality of the video. If the video will not play properly in Windows Media Player, Microsoft DVD Maker won't be able to burn it properly. It may be possible to fix the video or reformat it for Windows Media Player using other software.
- Depending on the DVD burner you are using and the quality of the blank DVD, a full speed burn may not be possible. Generally, the slower the burn speed you set, the better quality the finished DVD.
- Some DVD players only play DVD+R or DVD+RW DVDs. Additionally it is possible to burn a DVD in either PAL or NTSC format. North American DVD players and televisions are generally not compatible with PAL. It is worth double-checking the burn format and DVD player are compatible.
