Is there such a thing as being too nice to your ex girlfriend? Some guys will automatically respond with a no, thinking that the key to getting back together is to blatantly suck up to their ex.
Unfortunately, this is what we are conditioned to believe as guys, that the nicest guy always wins out in the end.
Well, there are a lot of really nice guys with broken hearts, so that cannot be the truth.
Still, you probably are questioning whether or not you should be nice to your ex girlfriend and if so, then how much is too much? Of course, I am never going to suggest that you should not be nice to your ex girlfriend, you should be.
However, I would like to stress the importance of toeing the line between being nice and blatantly sucking up to your ex girlfriend.
It's not uncommon to want to buy your ex girlfriend things just to show her how much she means to you or how much you miss her.
But doing things like that can easily make it look like you are sucking up to her, not being genuinely thoughtful.
And that is where the real problem lies.
When you come across as just trying to be nice to get what you want, it takes away from all of the meaning and the significance of the act.
So, just because you end up spending a lot of money on her, it does not mean that she is going to walk away with the impression that she should get back together with you.
Most of the time, it will mean that she will walk away thinking that you must be up to something, that you have a hidden agenda for what you are doing.
The other risk is to become a doormat for your ex girlfriend.
Hey, we all like to think that all women are great and that they would never use us, especially the ones that we have been in a relationship with.
However, that is not always the case and sometimes even a woman who is not usually the type to use a guy will, when he is being a little too nice and doing to many things to try and make her want him.
An example of this is when a guy starts doing lots of favors for his ex girlfriend, and she likes the fact that she has someone doing all of these things for her, yet she does not want to get back together no matter what.
It happens all of the time, and usually the guy ends up thinking that everything is working out, when the reality is...
she is just getting what she wants and has no plans of getting back together in the least.
When that happens, that is when YOU become the doormat and she will lose any and all attraction for you.
