How to Charge an ATV Battery With a Deltran Battery Tender Junior
- 1). Place the ATV battery near the Deltran Battery Tender Junior within reach of an electrical receptacle.
- 2). Clean the battery terminals with a battery cleaner if they show signs of corrosion. Twist the battery terminal cleaner left and right on each terminal to clean them.
- 3). Insert the alligator clip charging leads into the battery charger harness. Press both halves together to attach them firmly.
- 4). Pinch the black alligator clip to open the jaws. Place the jaws around the negative battery terminal. Release the clip so that it grips the terminal. Repeat this procedure to attach the red alligator clip to the positive battery terminal.
- 5). Plug the battery charger into an electrical receptacle. A green light will blink, indicating that the battery charger is working. The light will change to a steady green light when the charging is complete.
- 6). Pinch the black alligator clip and remove it from the negative battery terminal. Remove the red alligator clip from the positive terminal in the same manner. Unplug the battery charger from the electrical receptacle.
- 7). Replace the battery in the ATV. Attach the black battery lead to the negative post and the red battery lead to the positive post. Tighten the nuts or screws on each terminal.
