HijackThis

• 1). Download and install HijackThis (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Double-click the "HijackThis" application shortcut, and click the "Do a System Scan Only" button.
  
  
• 3). Click the "AnalyzeThis" button to create a log of possible infections.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Start" button and type in the name of the infected files from the log in the search box.
  
  
• 5). Right click each file, and click the "Delete" option from the menu. Restart your system.
  
  

Malwarebytes

• 1). Download and install Malwarebytes (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Double-click the "Malwarebytes" application shortcut to open the program. Click the "Scanner" tab, click the "Perform Full Scan" radio button, and click the "Scan" button to start the scan.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Show Results" button once the scan is complete.
  
  
• 4). Click the "Select All" button, and click the "Remove Selected Threats" button to delete the files.
  
  
• 5). Exit Malwarebytes, and restart your system.
  
  

AVG Free Anti-Virus

• 1). Download and install AVG Free Anti-Virus (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Double-click the "AVG Free" application shortcut, and click the "Computer Scanner" tab on the left-hand pane of the program window.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Scan the whole computer" option. Once the scan completes, click each threat and click the "Remove" button.
  
  
• 4). Close AVG Free and restart your system.
