How to Disassemble a Waterpik Shower Massage
- 1). Secure the Waterpik handheld bracket or fixed mount head by grasping firmly by hand or by vice. Examine inside the threaded end adapter that secures to the wall pipe. Resting inside the end will be the first Waterpik showerhead washer. Remove this washer using needle nose pliers if necessary. Always be careful not to damage any parts.
- 2). Remove the filter screen, which rests under the first washer in the showerhead assembly. Using pliers, carefully remove the filter screen in instances where the home's water pressure is so low as to inhibit the proper operation of a Waterpik showerhead. You can store the filter screen to be installed later when necessary.
- 3). Extract the flow regulator. You have successfully disassembled the flow components of a Waterpik showerhead. When steps one through three are completed, you can clean the different components with a solution that decalcifies and removes unwanted mineral buildup. The reassembly is the same process in reverse.
- 4). Unscrew the hand-held hose from the hand-held bracket to remove the washer that prevents leaks through the flow components and into the hand-held showerhead wand.
- 5). Insert the hand-held hose washer back into the hand-held bracket and reattach the hose to the bracket.
