How to Get Back Your Shrunk Dress Shirt
Are you afraid of washing your dress shirt from getting shrunk? Let’s say you go to your washing machine and put your shirt inside and set the timer of your washing machine. Fill Cool Water:
Get some cool water in a tub or bucket (as per your choice). Use cool water instead of hot water to make your shirts a bit stiffen by putting your shirt into it. The second reason for using cool water is that we’ll use hair conditioner to get your shirt back into original size.
Hair Conditioner:
Use only 1/4 cup of hair conditioner and drop it into the tub or bucket which is full of cool water. And after when you drop it into the tub, mix it until it dissolve into the water. You can use any of cheap conditioner available at the moment. You don't need to buy any specified or expensive conditioner for this purpose. This will help you to soften your dress shirt and you can stretch your shirts to make them into the original shape and also it doesn't damage the shirt anymore.
Dip the Shirt into the Tub:
Now when you have mixed the conditioner deep into the cool water, pick your shirt up and spread it on the surface of water and then gently dip it into the water so that it can absorb the conditioner mixed water. After when you have made it wet with the water, wait for at least 15 minutes for the shirt to soak the conditioner mixed water.
Fill Some Clean Water:
Ok, now put your shirt out of the water and fill the tub or bucket with a clean water. Make sure you fill it with cool water even for second time. Now squeeze your shirt as gently as you can so that it can throw out the conditioner water. Let it be there in the tub/bucket for further five minutes. And repeat squeezing your dress shirt until no traces remain there of conditioner water.
Stretch Your Shirt:
Great! You have done half work to retrieve back your dress shirt. Now lay the shirt on clean towel. Hold bottom edge of the shirt by one hand and grab collar with the other hand.
