Sources for Marine-Grade Plywood
- Wholesalers sell marine-grade plywood, often to boat restorers and manufacturers nationwide. They will typically carry several varieties of marine plywood, as well as other hardwoods commonly used in boat repair and manufacture. In some cases, they may also have finished parts---such as interior doors and hatches---available for purchase.
- Most boat repair shops will have assorted sizes and varieties of marine-grade plywood. They may also have contacts with local lumber yards, and thereby be able to order types of wood not in stock. Boat repair shops are also good places to go for general woodworking advice concerning marine-grade plywood.
- Though some big box and lumber retailers, like Lowe's and Home Depot, do not typically carry marine-grade plywood, others, such as Menards and Bristol Valley, may have such items in stock. Calling your local store to double-check may save a wasted trip, however, as such retailers often have only limited varieties and sizes available.
- Lumber yards manufacture lumber products, and will often sell directly to consumers. Some, but not all, lumber yards manufacture marine-grade plywoods. At these locations, you may be able to get sheets at discounted prices.
