Before you begin, read your laptop's user manual to learn what the manufacturer recommends for your particular laptop.
Dirt and dust can build up inside your laptop, damaging your display, overheating your computer, and causing problems with ports.
However, it's easy to give your laptop a thorough cleaning in just a few minutes.
You'll need: compressed air, a lint free cloth, small makeup sponges, cleaning solution.
For the outside of the computer, wipe it down with the lint free cloth dampened with some cleaning solution.
Be sure not to apply the cleaning solution directly to the computer, instead sprayed the cloth.
Use the compressed air on cooling vents, taking care not to spray too hard or to get liquid on the fan blades.
Then use the compressed air on any ports to blow away any dust.
Be careful not to blow dirt into I/O ports.
For the display, turn off the laptop to more easily see any dirt on the screen.
Use a lint free cloth moistened with cleaning solution, but don't use any ammonia-based cleaner.
This may leave a film or strip any protective coating applied by the manufacturer.

Turn the laptop upside down and spray compressed air in between the rows of keys.
This will dislodge most dirt.
Use the small makeup sponges moistened with some cleaning solution to wipe the keys and get in between the keys.
