How Do I Get a Phone to Work With Napster?
- 1). Look in the instruction manual for your phone to see what type of audio formats it is compatible with. Most phones can play standard MP3 files, which is what the vast majority of Napster songs are encoded in. However, if you have any song files that are not MP3s you should make sure they will be compatible with your phone before proceeding.
- 2). Connect your phone to your computer. Depending on the actual phone you own, this will be done in one of two ways. Certain phones come with a data syncing cable enabling you to plug your phone directly into a USB port on your computer. Other phones will require you to remove the internal flash memory card from the phone and import it into a compatible card reader on your computer.
- 3). Click "Start."
- 4). Click "Computer."
- 5). Open the icon that represents either your attached cell phone (if connected via USB data transfer cable) or flash memory card.
- 6). Drag any songs that you've downloaded from Napster into this window on screen. They will either be copied directly to the phone (if applicable) or to the internal memory card which can be inserted into the phone.
