The "Indiana Jones" series is one of the most successful film franchises in cinematic history. Its popularity makes it a good theme for a party. To throw an authentic "Indiana Jones" party, make it an adventurous experience. Offer guests a series of activities that capture the thrills and chills of the series. - In "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," Dr. Jones retrieves the Holy Grail at the Canyon of the Crescent Moon, using knowledge gained from his father's diary to pass three trials. Put your party guests to the test with Indiana Jones trivia. Brainstorm questions that span all of the "Indiana Jones" movies, amping up the difficulty with each round. For example, a first-round question might be "Where is the first scene in 'Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull?' (Answer: Roswell, New Mexico). A final round question might be "Who is Indiana Jones named after?" (Answer: the family dog.) Award the winning team with the privilege to pick the first "Indiana Jones" movie to watch.
- On top of the traditional party fare of chips and punch, go a step further and incorporate some of the gross-out food ideas seen in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" into a food challenge in the vein of TV show "Fear Factor." Don't go as far as to serve "eyeball soup," but encourage your guests to eat unusual party foods, increasing the gross-out factor with each dish. For example, dare your guests to consume anchovy milkshakes or slices of cake frosted with BBQ sauce. Award the bravest guest with a dish of "chilled monkey brains," also known as ice cream.
- Send your guests on a room-trotting quest with a scavenger hunt at your "Indiana Jones" party. Create a list of small items with an "Indiana Jones" theme. For example, use cups to symbolize the Holy Grail and/or rubber snakes, Dr. Jones' biggest fear. Hide all the items around your house. Split the party up into different teams and send your guests off on a quest to find the most amount of items within a specific period of time. Award the team that finds the most items with Indiana Jones prizes, like a fedora or a whip.
