How to Decorate a Bridal Car
- The front of the car offers a large windshield to decorate. Keep in mind, though, that the couple will have to drive their car somewhere to get it cleaned, so keep this minimal. Use liquid chalk or window markers to write a short phrase, such as "congratulations" or "just married" in the corners of the windshield to avoid obstructing the view. The antenna on the front offers an opportunity to tie a streamer, or place another wedding-themed decoration.
- Here is your opportunity to show off your artistic ability when decorating the bridal car. Use liquid chalk to leave notes congratulating the couple, or draw a picture such as a wedding cake. Continue decorating the car with thanks and sayings on the metal portions, using shaving cream so it doesn't damage the finish. You can also purchase magnets with sayings such as "good luck" and "newlyweds."
- Use the back of the car to draw attention to the fact that the couple has just been married. Tie bottles or cans to a piece of string, and attach them to the rear bumper of the car. Streamers and other decorations can be attached to the rear bumper as well. Attach signs to the back of the car with a saying such as "On our way to the islands for our honeymoon." You can decorate the rear window with liquid chalk or window markers, just as you decorated the front windshield. Again, remember not to obstruct their view.
- Don't forget to decorate the interior of the car. Include a few small items, such as a copy of the wedding program and the bride's garter, if there was a garter toss at the reception. This will give them souvenirs from the wedding just in case they forget to pick them up. Place some confetti inside the car; it can easily be vacuumed out later.
