How to Change a File From a WMA Format to an MP3 Format
- 1). Download Switch Sound File Converter (see Resources). Save the file to your desktop. Double-click the .exe file. Follow the computer- and user-specific instructions to complete the installation. On the final window of the installation, place a check next to "Launch Switch Sound File Converter" and click "Finish."
- 2). Click the "Output Folder" box and select where you want your converted files to be placed. Click the "Output Format" box and click "MP3."
- 3). Drag and drop the WMA files that you want to convert into the center window of the program. Click "Convert."
- 1). Download Free Mp3 Wma Converter (see Resources). Save the file to your desktop. Double-click the .exe file. Follow the installation instructions. On the final window of the installation, place a check next to "Launch Free Mp3 Wma Converter" and click "Finish."
- 2). Drag and drop the WMA files that you want to convert into the center window of the program.
- 3). Click the "MP3" button next to the "Convert To" section. Click the "Convert" button. Click the "Output Folder" button to access your converted files.
- 1). Download FreeRIP MP3 (see Resources). Save the file to your desktop. Double-click the .exe file. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. On the final window of the installation, place a check next to "Launch FreeRIP MP3" and click "Finish."
- 2). Click "View" and select "Converter" to change to the converter section of FreeRIP.
- 3). Click "File." Click "Add Files to Convert." Select the WMA files that you want to convert.
- 4). Click the "Convert Selected Tracks to Default Format" button. The default format is already MP3. After the files are converted, you will be able to select, copy or move them directly in the FreeRIP MP3 program.
