How to Install Polyurethane Foam Sheets Onto a Concrete Wall
- 1). Measure the height and width of the wall with a measuring tape.
- 2). Cut furring strips to match the height of the wall with a saw. The number of furring strips needed depends on the width of the wall. Furring strips should not spaced more than 24 inches apart. For example, if the wall is 6 feet wide, you will need a minimum of three furring strips.
- 3). Apply a bead of construction adhesive to the back of the furring strips, then press the strips onto the wall vertically.
- 4). Cut the foam sheets to match the distance between the furring strips with an insulation-board saw.
- 5). Apply panel adhesive to one side of the foam sheets with a caulking gun. It is not necessary to cover the entire sheet with adhesive.
- 6). Press the foam sheets between the furring strips with the adhesive facing the wall.
