Green lantern movie review online

Warner Brothers Pictures released a new official "Green Lantern" movie poster during this weekend's WonderCon in San Francisco. The poster was seen on the trade floor of the comic book convention. The Daily Blam! published a high-resolution copy of the "Green Lantern" movie poster.

"In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

"Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all."

The film stars Ryan Reynolds ("Smokin' Aces," "Buried"), Blake Lively ("Gossip Girl," "The Town"), Mark Strong ("Sherlock Holmes," "Body of Lies"), Peter Sarsgaard ("Jarhead," "Boys Don't Cry"), Tim Robbins ("The Shawshank Redemption," "Mystic River") and Angela Bassett ("Malcolm X," "Boyz n the Hood").

Ryan Reynolds soars as test pilot Hal Jordan in this forthcoming of DC Comics' nerdiest of all titles. Bequeathed a power ring from the fallen Abin Sur, Jordan becomes a member of the Green Lantern Corps, powered by a giant space lamp run by immortal floating blue guys. Trust us, it'll be awesome. Especially if Kilowog is in it.

Now, about that improved CGI. It would appear that Warner Bros. have continued to work on it since the above mentioned trailer was released. This was perhaps most noticeable with Hal's mask, possibly one of the most criticized aspects of the pictures and footage released so far. Rather than looking as if it's floating on top of Ryan Reynolds' face, it now looks perfectly fine and far more natural. The suits also seem to have been touched up, with the fact they're energy constructions from the ring made more obvious by the flares sparking off of them, along with more movement behind the symbol on each suit.
