World Series 2009 Outlook
Who is going to make the World Series? This is a question that many are wondering the answer to.
The 2009 baseball season has been a really exciting one.
While there were previously no real pennant races coming down to the wire, the Minnesota Twins played some amazing baseball through the end of the year, winning 16 of their last 20 games and forcing a tie breaking playoff with the Detroit Tigers.
In the American League, we have the Angels, the Red Sox, and the Yankees all making a go at a World Series this year, though whoever wins the NL Central shouldn't be counted out, especially if it's the Twins.
Can the Yankees finally find some success in the post season, which they seem to have lacked these last few seasons? Can Boston overcome the Yankees because of their recent playoff successes and experiences? Or can the Angels play some more inspired baseball and dedicate a winning season to the tragically lost Nick Adenhart? How about the National League? Can the Dodgers snap out of this mini slump and show the baseball world they're the best in the National League? Can the Cardinals find their 2006 form and emerge from the pack? Can the Phillies repeat last year's success and be back to back World Series winners? Or, will the Rockies surprise everyone like they did in 2007? Regardless of what ends up happening, one thing is for sure.
No one really knows what to expect, and that's what will make these playoffs great.
