- 1). Click the link the "Resources" section of this article, then download the BlackBerry Software Manager from the BlackBerry site.
- 2). Double-click the BlackBerry Desktop Manager.dmg file, the double-click the mpkg file to run the installer. Click "Continue" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
- 3). Open your "Applications" folder in Finder and double-click the "BlackBerry Desktop Manager" icon to run the application.
- 4). Plug the USB cable into your BlackBerry mobile device and plug the other end into an empty USB port on your computer.
- 5). Click the field next to "Device Name" and type in a new name for your BlackBerry phone. Move your cursor to the "Music Location" drop-down menu and click "Device Memory" if your phone has on-board device memory for music storage.
- 6). Enter the amount of space you want reserved for data excluding music, and click the "OK" button to complete the setup.
