Adidas have an excellent range of ski goggles, to cover all lighting conditions. All their goggle lenses give good definition and peripheral vision with all lenses worked to give no distortion, which can occur on inferior goggle lenses due to the curvature of the lens.
Adidas lenses perform well in cold conditions, the lenses have a double surface and have an anti fog coating, which prevents the lens fogging up. LST active is available in active gold and active silver, depending upon which goggle colour is chosen.
Adidas use light stabilizing technology (LST ) for the lenses of their ski goggles, the options on ski goggles are LST active and LST bright. All the lenses also offer 100% UV protection. LST active is available in active gold and active silver, depending upon which goggle colour is chosen.
LST active lenses are ideal for medium to bright lighting conditions, if you intend to ski in the goggle all day this lens would cover a broader range of lighting conditions, but not be as affective as one aimed specifically at a lighting condition, i.e. in poor light LST bright will excel, where as Active will perform adequately.
LST bright also enhances contrast but doesn't work as well with changing light conditions as it allows more light through, so it works best in poor light, such as snow and cloud. The lens has an orange base tint with a light silver mirror to improve depth perception. This lens is ideal for days when light is poor due to snow or cloud, but it will let too much light through on a brighter day.

New for the 2012 season are Pinner A183 and ID2 Pro, which comes with two lenses and a quick change system, making it easier to change the lenses quickly. All the models are dual vented with fully padded soft face foam and use nano foam to help control moisture. They are all compatible with a helmet and have a siliconized, adjustable strap. The ID2 range of goggles uses the unique Adidas Climacool system to eliminate moisture and prevent the lenses fogging.
All Adidas goggles will support an Adidas performance insert, for those of us needing a prescription to get down the slopes. The Adidas performance insert is made by Adidas to fit the goggle perfectly, it is removable for wearers who may want a non prescription option from time to time and sits between the front lens and the face foam. When ordering an Adidas insert, check that the supplier is able to compensate the prescription and will make the lens centres coincide with your eyes, this way you will have correct comfortable vision with little or no distortion. A Dispensing Optician will be able to do this for you, so check the order has been seen by a Dispensing Optician before placing it.
