How to Play an HD DVD on Your XBox 360
- 1). Load the HD DVD software disc into your Xbox 360 that came with your HD DVD player and begin to follow the on screen instructions.
- 2). Connect your HD DVD player to your console as instructed by the installation disc. Do this by plugging the player into a wall outlet using the AC power supply included with the player. Then plug it into the Xbox 360 using the USB cable that also came with it.
- 3). Confirm that you would like to install the updates once the HD DVD player is connected. An installation bar will display the progress of the installation, which only takes a few seconds.
- 4). Select "Finish" to eject the disc when the installation completes.
- 5). Ensure your Xbox 360 is configured for high definition viewing. First you must have a HD TV and be properly connect to it via HDMI, VGA or component cables rather than standard AV cables. Then go to "My Xbox" on your dashboard, select "System Settings," then "Display." From here, you can configure the appropriate HD settings for your television. For instance, if your TV is 1080p, then you will want to set it your console for 1080p.
- 6). Put the batteries, which come with the player, into your HD DVD player remote control.
- 7). Insert an HD DVD into your player to begin watching it.
