How to Add an iPod Cable to a Factory Volvo Radio
- 1). Purchase an iPod car auxiliary cable from an Apple store or electronics store. Auxiliary cables come in different lengths, with some offering attached control functions.
- 2). Plug the auxiliary cord into your Volvo's auxiliary slot, which will be circular and labeled "AUX".
- 3). Plug the other end of the cable into your iPod headphone jack.
- 4). Switch your stereo input to auxiliary and choose your song and volume level. Make sure your car stereo volume level does not exceed your iPod's volume level.
- 1). Buy an iPod FM transmitter car adapter from any electronics store.
- 2). Plug the transmitter into your car's cigarette lighter/electrical jack. The power light on your transmitter will light up green when it is receiving power.
