For those who study the Foundations of Western Philosophy, they know that much of what we consider the basis for the study of human thought came from the Ancient Greeks over 2000 years the prior.
You see, as one Online Think Tank participant, Richard 'Kee' Smith stated; "Alexander was the pupil of Aristotle, who was the pupil of Plato, who was the pupil of Socrates - the guy who invented what we now call philosophy in the Western word.
" Indeed, and never losing a battle and conquering the whole known world at the time was a huge achievement and perhaps the sum of all that wisdom; putting it to use.
For good or evil; it is all a choice and perception based? Now then let me present an argument against the ultimate power of the mind and collection of mankind's wisdom to dominate an entire planet and all humankind.
It is not my intention or desire to critique men of means, power and the most powerful armies of their day.
The acts of such men from days gone by is to be judged by that past periods standards and not ours now in the present period, as that was a different time, with different rules.
My point is that in future periods we must join mankind together in a common cause, as the weapons are far to powerful to continue fighting and killing our own species.
It is time for humankind to grow up now and enjoy our forward progression in peace.
