How to Make Fake Blood Without Using Food Coloring

20
    • 1). Substitute red powdered juice for food coloring. A small packet of red Kool-Aid will give your fake blood the perfect hue. Then, you can keep the rest of your fake blood recipe intact. See the Resources section below for a link to a traditional fake blood recipe.

    • 2). Water down ketchup and then heat it. This will change the color of the ketchup to a more "blood red" color and will thicken the texture, causing it to look more like blood.

    • 3). Melt pieces of red hard candy and mix in some water. When you do this, the combination should be less gel-like and more like real blood. Remember that this will be very sticky so you shouldn't use this on your face or any clothing that you wish to preserve.

    • 4). Mix corn syrup and tomato juice together. Place 2 tbsp. of each into a small container and mix it vigorously for one minute. You can also eyeball it and change how much syrup or juice you use depending on how red or thick you want your fake blood to be.
