  The HP OfficeJet Pro L7780 All-in-One Printer, Fax, Scanner and Copier is a professional product with low per-page costs and wireless capabilities. It automatically prints double-sided pages and can read Secure Digital, CompactFlash, xD-picture cards and Digital or MultiMedia cards.
  
  

Functionality

• The L7780 can print, copy and scan in black-and-white and color. It faxes in black-and-white, while using Thermal ink to produce images and documents.
  
  

Printing

• The L7790 all-in-one prints at 1,200 by 1,200 dots per inch (dpi) in black and 4,800 by 1,200 dpi in color, when using photo paper. It prints up to 35 pages per minute (ppm) in black ink and 34 ppm in color. Using laser quality printing, these speeds are reduced to 12 and 10 ppm, respectively. A 4-by-6-inch photograph takes a minute and a half.
  
  

Faxing

• Items fax at 300 by 300 dpi, with a speed of 3 seconds per page. The L7780 redials automatically if there is an error in transmission. It has a memory of up to 125 pages and can store up to 99 programmed phone numbers for speed dialing.
  
  

Scanning

• The flatbed scanner has a 48-bit depth with 256 individual levels of grayscale. It scans at a standard 2,400 by 4,800 dpi, but can go up to 19,200 dpi in enhanced mode. The scanner can automatically scan to an application or over the network. The maximum size supported for scanning is 8.5 by 14 inches.
  
  

Copying

• The copy scaling varies from 25% to 400%, and the L7780 can print 99 copies at a time. The resolution is 1,200 by 1,200 dpi, and the machine copies at speeds identical to its printing: 35 cpm black and 34 cpm in color. You can also adjust margins, brightness and quality.
  
  

Size and Temperature

• The Officejet Pro L7780 is a bit bulky at nearly 41 pounds. Its dimensions are 20.91 by 19.09 by 17.48 inches. The ideal operating temperature is from 59 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
  
  

Memory

• The printer comes equipped with 64MB of internal memory, but an additional 32MB can be added if a higher level of performance is necessary.
  
  

Cartridges

• The L7780 conserves ink by using four different ink cartridges: black, cyan, magenta and yellow. It includes two print heads as well.
