How to Troubleshoot a PC430 Copier
- 1). Read through the manual that was provided with the copy machine and learn how to safely clean the machine's glass top and transfer wires. Thoroughly clean the glass on the scanner bar that feeds paper through the machine.
- 2). Remove each color cartridge and toner cartridge to see if any damage has been done to the function of these cartridges. Also verify that no residue is left on the cartridges from the sticky, protective seals they were shipped in.
- 3). Open the main chamber of the Canon PC 430 copy machine to inspect all the inner parts and pieces. Look for discolorations, dust, leaks or paper jams. Clean the machine gently with cleaning agents, and wipe down the interior parts with a soft, small rag.
