Candida Diet Foods - What Foods Are Allowable to Eat?

47
Someone asked me about breakfast idea for her candida diet foods that are allowed to eat.
She needs ideas as to what to eat for breakfast.
Having a salad with olive oil is not actually her idea to break the fast, but is about all she can eat, unless she adds some broiled chicken.
She can not have cheeses or eggs (allergic to them).
So she asks my recommendation.
Breakfasts are actually tough for me too, mostly from a time standpoint.
One thing that I do is make extra for dinner the night before and have it for breakfast.
Left over are not recommended for candida but I just try to get my "breakfast portion" in the fridge right after it is made.
If I've made fish the night before or something that else that doesn't keep well, I usually have homemade vegetables soups in the freezer that I can eat.
Alternatively, drink a soy protein shake, one with flavor, I think the name is Sci-Fit - it has acesulfame-k as the sweetener, and one without flavor (put vanilla powder and stevia in it to make it palatable).
To this you could add 3 tablespoons of ground up flax seed, to make a cereal similar to wheat germ but without the problems.
Flax seed is a wonderful fiber and 3 tablespoons of it yield 1 tablespoon of flax oil (best Omega 3 source) You can also make a porridge of quinoa.
If you look in the book Yeast Connection Cookbook there are a number of breakfast suggestions.
As to the chicken - yes, that is what a lot of people would choose for their protein in the morning.
I am from a seacoast culture, so I also enjoy eating fish for breakfast.
As for now, what I mention above is just some ideas about candida diet foods allowed to eat.
