How to Make a Bent Wood Ring

10
    • 1). Smear glue to cover the first 2 inches of one strip of wood.

    • 2). Bend the wood into a circle with your fingers to make a complete circle. Overlap the ends by 2 inches to cover the glue. Place a clamp on the ends to smash them together. Let the glue dry for one hour.

    • 3). Remove the clamp. Smear glue on the inside of the circle. Bend and insert another strip into the circle letting it contact the glue. Let the ends overlap each other. Place glue on the ends that overlap. Flush the two circles together and place clamps every 2 inches around the perimeter of the circle. Let the glue dry for one hour.

    • 4). Place wood strips into the circle one at a time, gluing, clamping and letting them dry one hour before placing up to six more strips or until the strips begin to break or crack (depending on the flexibility of the wood). If your strips break, you can begin adding them to the outside of the circle.
