How To Change Airline Reservations
- 1). Read the flight change policy on your original flight booking to see what fees, if any, you will have to pay for changing your flight.
- 2). Go to the airline's website or the booking site where you purchased your ticket. There should be a link to "view my reservations" or a place to log in. Enter your confirmation code or reservation number when requested.
- 3). Choose the option to change your flight. If there is no change button next to your reservation, you most likely have a special fare and need to call the airline or booking site to change your flight.
- 4). Select your new flight. You will be prompted to pay a change fee, if applicable, and the difference between the price of your new flight and your original flight. Change fees vary by airline, but in 2010 were generally in the range of $100 for domestic tickets and $200 for international bookings.
