How to Minimize Your Butt
- 1). Purchase flattering clothes that minimize your buttocks. Wear dark-colored pants that are low at your waist, flare out at the bottom and have no pockets or pockets that lay flat on the surface. Avoid fancy back pockets because these accentuate your buttocks
- 2). Wear A-line skirts and dresses instead of buttock-accentuating, clingy skirts and dresses. A-line skirts and dresses are tighter on top and flare out at the bottom. They fall loosely over your curves and flatter a heavier lower body.
- 3). Draw attention away from your bottom half. Wear tops with interesting designs and patterns. Accentuate your upper body with a scarf or jewelry.
- 4). Purchase control-underwear to slim your buttocks. Shaping panties, briefs and shorts can also slim your stomach, hips and upper thighs. They are available in different slimming levels ranging from medium to super control.
- 5). Perform lunges to help tone your rear end. Take a large step forward with your right foot. Rise onto the balls of your right foot and rest your hands on your hips. Place the majority of your weight on your right heel. Bend both your knees and lower your body straight down. Your right thigh should be close to parallel to the floor with the knee at a 90-degree angle. Push yourself back up to the starting position using your right heel. Repeat the exercise 12 times before switching legs. Work your way up to doing three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions each on three non-consecutive days of the week.
- 6). Perform squats to promote lean muscle tissue. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Bend your knees and lower your upper body down as if you're sitting down in a chair. Your knees should be bent no more than 90 degrees. Push through your heels to rise up to the starting position. Squeeze your buttocks at the top of the exercise. Perform three sets of 12 to 15 repetitions on three non-consecutive days of the week.
